The result is a smooth surface without any significant holes which is normally a feature of Travertine pavers.

Generally this honed & filled floor tiles are perfect for interior flooring, however if the patio is partly undercover still suit the purpose well.

Travertine Pavers Pool Coping

Travertine Pavers Pool Coping

Introduction to our Travertine pavers, 30mm bullnose edge pool coping tiles.

Bullnose Travertine pavers pool coping: the edge of the tiles has been rounded, it makes it suitable for use as step treads and outdoor copping tiles around a swimming pool, it’s 30mm thick which gives a nice chunky look. Travertine colours vary a little bit, which adds to its natural beauty .

This Travertine is unfilled and tumbled, unfilled  meaning the small holes present in the stone haven’t been filled with cement, tumbled meaning put in the machine with small stones which gives the stone an antiqued look and softening of the edges giving a natural appearance. This stone is hard and dense, some types of Travertine has a lot of soft spots in them, so it’s a good idea to see the stock prior   to purchase, to be sure it’s a hard and dense stone. This particular Travertine is 30mm thick which is quite suitable for driveways as well as swimming pool surrounds.

Travertine Tiles – Pool Surrounds

Travertine tiles are great for pool surrounds, the surface of pavers have been tumbled with small stones to give an authentic antique look, however the natural small holes in the Travertine have been left unfilled.

The owner of this beach house has chosen Turkish Travertine pavers for his pool surrounds tiles. Because of Travertine’s light colours, it reflects the heat, keeping the stone cooler underfoot. Travertine Classico is not a pure white colour, otherwise it would be hard on the eyes on very bright sunny days.

Also in this project the landscaper chose straight edge 30mm Travertine pavers as pool coping tiles instead of traditional bullnose tiles, or even recently popular drop face tiles. This method will create different “antique & unfinished feel” to this pool project.
